Tymosin Alpha-1 is a natural regulator of immune system function. It has since been studied for cystic fibrosis, infections (e.g. tuberculosis, cytomegalovirus), breathing disorders, chronic hepatitis and cancer. Thymosin alpha-1 was first discovered in 1972 and was isolated from thymus tissue and is a strong modulator of immune function.
